Anthony O’Neal created Young People Succeeding in 2003 when he found himself at the bottom of his ropes in substantial debt at the age of 19; and he was not alone. Statistics show that the average young adult is also in debt by the age of 20 years old. From this, the YPS cause was born.

And here are just a few proud accomplishments:

2005:

* Several seminars hosted in partnership with other youth organizations (i.e) over 400 kids attend seminar in conjunction with Boys and Girls of America.

2006:

*  YPS featured on front cover N to U, Magazine,  in a well-know publication of Jacksonville, Florida

*  National Gospel Recording Artist, Demetrus signed on as YPS National Spokesperson.

*  Founder Mr. O’Neal recognized for outstanding service on Hot 105.7 FM(Radio Station)

2007:

*  YPS Entertainment was born. Free inspirational concerts for young people which featured various entertainers including Kirk Franklin,  Tye Tribbett, Canton Jones, Lisa McClendon and Da Truth.

*  Anthony’s O’Neal nominated as one of Ebony Magazine’s Top 30 under 30.

*  YPS nominated Movement of the Year

*  Grand Opening of new YPS location in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

2008:

*  Harlem Globe Trotter Lefty Williams as Vice President of YPS.

*  YPS begins servicing Cumberland County and Hoke County High Schools in North Carolina.

*  Entered partnership with Hope Today, a national magazine

2009:

*   Established partnership with school web lockers (an online outlet for communication between teachers, students and parents)

*   Established a partnership with 1 Million Kids Safe Campaign to give away $50,000 worth in internet safety computer software for ages 4-13

*   YPS featured in 2 National Magazines Hope Today Magazine & Epitome Magazine

*   Established a partnership with Dunn PAL Police Department

*   YPS enrolls its 5,000 youth in the program

…and YPS is still growing.
